I spent my last few hours in New Zealand on this lake cruise. After checking out all the cruises in town (aside from the jet boats, which I wasn't interested in) I chose Southern Discoveries. The length of the cruise was perfect and its route seemed to be the most scenic.
We received great commentary on the history and geography of the area and even some film location tidbits.
Compared to other short trips in the area, this was excellent value and even included tea/coffee and biscuits and free entry to the underwater observatory.
I would definitely recommend!
