Absolutely as expected of a Hilton. Facilities, service of a high standard. Spa treatment very good too. Only drawback for some will be location away from main part of Queenstown highly reccomended for a luxurious couples weekend away .

The hotel is classy and beautiful. The room was such a comfortable oasis and the view is just out of this world. The only thing I would have wanted to know is that it is away from town a fair while with 2 connecting buses for $8 each return. However it is not an unpleasant experience.

Amazing breakfast everyday in the restaurant. Service and attention from staff was great every morning. View and facilities in two bedroom apartment were first class. Only down fall is being out of town, but if you have a car it's not a problem. Thought we may go into town one evening on the water taxi as others had mentioned it but it would have cost $80 return for the family. Cheaper to drive. Was closer to the airport than we expected but the noise was never a problem. Only seems to be a couple of flights per day. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 5 nights in the relaxation room and wow, what an experience! We felt welcomed by all the staff straight away. It was my birthday and they'd arranged for flowers to be in the room for me which was a great surprise. The room is spacious and provides you with all the luxuries you'd expect. The outdoor hot tub is excellent and, at 38 degrees, kept us warm even when it was raining. You have an awesome view I'd the lake from the hot tub also and can walk straight to it from your room. We ordered room service which delivered with a smile and actually wasn't to bad value. I highly recommend you have breakfast included as the buffet is to die for. There is a huge variety of food and the views from the restaurant are great to enjoy while stating your day. We also had dinner in the grill restaurant which was amazing. We both used the day spa and loved every minute of it, for a hotel spa, the prices are reasonable. We'll definately be back and will be booking the relaxation room again, it was worth every penny.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and get the relaxation room with breakfast, especially if its a special occasion or ro...

Overall a good experience at the Hilton Hotel at Queenstown. Nice people here, and environment is good. Spa is great as well. Except the public transportation to Queenstown is not convenient, and most of the restaurants are closed in my stay period e.g. the mee me noodles due to rennovation, and the Grill room due to other events.

Dear Carrie Y

Overall a good review, thank you.

I am sorry that some of the outlets were closed during your visit. We use some of the down time to tidy the areas up ready for the summer season.

I hope you have the opportunity to visit us again

As always the Hilton in Queenstown delivered. The room and intimate view of the lake was brilliant. The correcting facial at the spa a real treat and dinner at the Wakitipu Bar & Grill was delicious. You can't go past those breakfasts either. Thank goodness their is the Kelvin Heights track and pool to burn off some of the excesses.

My husband & I spent 5 nights at the Hilton Queenstown. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we felt welcome by the friendly staff there. The ambience is of an alpine resort which went well with the skiing we went for. We were offered an upgrade for a reasonable price & the lady at reception by the name of Anzene, was so nice that she followed up after we moved into our room to see if we were happy with it. I was surprised that she took the time to check & it just shows how great the staff working there are. The room is made special by the gas fireplace & heated bathroom tiles, as well as the lake views. I would recommend paying extra for the lakefront rooms on the top floor like we did, it was worth it for the experience. From the hotel we would take a water taxi into Queenstown for $10 each way, which was worth it just for the scenic ride alone. There are a few restaurants as part of the complex so we had variety every day. There is a tour desk as part of the complex so you could plan all of your tours from the hotel. Also, pickup is outside the door, so the distance from the main part of Queenstown did not inconvience us at all. We will definitely be staying there again next year.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a lakeside room at the front, it will make your stay memorable.
