The positive reviews for this place are thoroughly deserved. Offer a multitude of facilities and services for free (even running to free iPad loans during your stay), had excellent WiFi (free of course) and had the most comfortable hostel beds I've ever seen (oh yea, all the beds come with 2 convenient charge points and a reading light). And the price was entirely reasonable. Really, I find I can't fault this place! Highly recommended!

There are a lot of positive reviews for this hostel: Excellent downtown location, free wifi, clean (enough), friendly staff, lots of services available, full kitchen with 4 or 5 cooking stations, nice community rooms, etc. We found them all to be an accurate description of what we experienced.

We booked the family room which has a queen size bed and 2 single bunk beds. It also has a private bathroom and private access to the large upper balcony. The set-up was much better than what many hotel offer to families. The beds were comfortable and the kids really liked the little pot of jelly beans that were in the room when we checked in (nice touch)!

It was a good introduction to youths hostel for the kids who had to do their share of dishes.

The best experience in a hostel I have ever had. The staff are friendly, the rooms are brilliantly clean and you get so much for your money. We stayed in a 6 bed en-suite dorm and it was perfect. Each person had a storage unit large enough to fit a large backpack or suitcase which ensures nothing is left all over the floor. Each bed has 2 plugs, 2 USB ports, a light, 2 pillows and a free towel, which ensures your belongings can be kept with you and charged overnight in the wall pocket, ensuring you feel they are safe. There is also a secure locker room to leave valuables, which are padlocked (available to borrow for free, $10 deposit). The hostel has a multitude of things which you can borrow including iPads and GoPro's, along with 2 computers to use free of charge. Free wifi, free tea and coffee. There is a great T.V. room with a wide variety of films and T.V. programs. The kitchen is large enough to cook in, and there cupboard and fridge space to keep your food in. Overall, this is the best hostel I have ever stayed and probably the best you could find in Queenstown.

This hostel is great because it is new; the owner lives onsite, he employs good staff and continues to invest in the business. The hostel was built 2-3 years ago by gutting an office building so it gave the owner a blank slate to design his hostel.

I stayed 2 different times. My first stay was 3 nights in the quad share with ensuite. The room is small but well designed. Under each set of bunks are 2 cabinets- 1 for each person. It is large enough to store your entire backpack and all of your stuff. This prevents your stuff from being spread out all over the floor. The rooms stay neat. Each bed has a light, pocket to store your book or phone, and USB charger.

My second stay was 1 night in the Private double room with ensuite. This room was nice and I am glad that we stayed there after 10 days of hiking. It was a nice treat. They were able to store luggage for us while we were gone. My one suggestion is that for the price of this room you may be able to get a hotel room. Keep in mind that this is a hostel and not a traditional hotel.

One of the reasons this hostel gets high marks is that the owner insists that the staff replace items that are getting old. For example, if any towels or sheets get ratty they are replaced. The same is true for plates, cups, pots, utensils, etc. in the kitchen. While we were there he was preparing to replace some couches. (These couches were in better condition that most of the other hostels we stayed in). Everything is in good condition.

You can read the other reviews. They are all true about good customer service and lots of free stuff. They also have a social activity (meal or game) during week nights.
We are in our 40s and felt very comfortable in this hostel. They create a social environment but enforce quiet time after 10pm.

I hope you find this review helpful and if you do, I would appreciate a helpful vote. Thanks!

Never stayed in a hostel that has so many free extras. 2 pillows, towels, they is a security room that I could leave some gear while i went for some multi day hikes.

Guessing a lot of other hostels in Queenstown have a lot of workers (some work in hostel, others work in Queenstown) living there. But you do feel a bit strange with the workers always being in one large group and having control of TV etc.

It wouldnt stop me from staying there again.

Room Tip: Was in 2 different rooms on different corners and different level. Could hear some street noise in...
