Owner description: Ziptrek Ecotours is NZ's #1 Original Zipline tour and is a spectacular eco-adventure through the forest canopy high above Queenstown, situated on Skyline Gondola hill. Ziptrek runs all year round and is stunning whatever the weather. With two tours to choose from it is suitable for everyone, whether looking for an introduction into Queenstown adventure (Moa 4-Line Tour) or wanting the latest gripping eco-exhilaration (Kea 6-Line Tour) which includes the steepest tree to tree zipline in the world.

Worth it for the great views! A lot of fun and great for any ages! Waiting for people is a bit annoying but I'm sure it would be totally fine if you had a group of friends for entertainment, however I went solo. The final line on the 6 line course makes it worth the wait because it's super long and fast :-)

Hi Katie,

What an amazing place to first experience zip-lining! You're right that Ziptrek really does cater for all ages from 6 years up and the views definitely offer a unique perspective of Queenstown. The camaraderie created on tour is something we often hear about from guests so I am sorry that you didn't experience that yourself. Hopefully see you again in the future and next time bring your friends to show off your new zipping skills!

Kind regards,

Bonnie

This was awesome fun. Sam and Arjun, our guides, were very professional. Our six year old daughter really loved being able to do this.

Hi Sean,

Happy to hear that the whole family enjoyed it! I will let Sam and Arjun know how much fun you all had! You'll have to come back when your daughter is over 30 kgs to experience our Kea 6-line tour- including the steepest tree to tree zipline in the World! Hope you and your family have a very Happy New Year.

Kind regards,

Bonnie

I liked the scenery, and nothing was spared to make us feel safe. Excellent guides, very friendly.
The ride was short, not that exhilarating, the explanation on eco aspects far too basic primary school level.

Hi,

We're pleased you found our guides friendly and safe, we pride ourselves on our amazing staff, which make our company what it is.

We take great pride in the interpretative-eco component of our tours and I'm disappointed that you did not find this as free-flowing and a fully integrated part of our tours as we aim for. Our entire operation is based on sustainable practice and we use The Natural Step as a basis for this and find that even the most sustainable savvy come away with something from this. For us the eco-interpretation is just as an important part of the tour as the ziplines because without one or the other, neither would exist.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.
Kind regards,
Bonnie

Fun and educational experience but there were 8 people in our group so getting down each zip took time. A little overpriced, especially for my budget, but I'm glad I did it anyway.
They let you zip in all sorts of positions (encourage it!) which adds a little extra fun to an already exciting experience. The staff were also very friendly and helpful

Hi there,

Happy to know that you found this such a fun and informative activity that was worth your time and budget. Glad you also enjoyed our staff's fantastic hospitality! Similar to golf where you are only hitting the ball a small proportion of the time, we will continue to work harder to make everyone feel like the journey is also part of your experience.

Kind regards,

Bonnie

A unique opportunity to travel down between the Douglas Firs on a series of four or six zip lines and learn about the importance of our environment at the same time. The very professional guides (Charles and Peter in our case) lead you down the mountain from the top of the Queenstown Skyline back to its car park at the base.

Hi Paul,

You must have gone on our Kea 6-line tour that does indeed bring you from the top of the gondola all the way down to the base with some pretty beautiful views on the way! Charles and Peter will be happy to hear you had such a great time on tour and that you found them to be so professional in their approach. Thank you for the positive feedback.

Kind regards,

Bonnie
