It was a gorgeous clear & sunny day in Queenstown & i had some spare time in the afternoon so a friend & I decided to do this cruise. It's only $25 for a 90 minute trip up the lake & back. The captain is very informative & tells you alot about the things you see.
The boat itself is great & has both indoor & outdoor seating as well as a bar that is, as mentioned an 'honour system'. I sat outside on the top deck & you get beautiful views of the lake & it's surroundings, especially the Remarkables. Worth a trip

Great little informal boat ride and very reasonable priced. There was plenty of room both inside and outside so no one missed the views of the mountains and Lake Wakitipu. Captain - Peter - very knowledgeable about the area and was born in Queenstown (it's a family owned and run business so great to support the locals). Loved the informal atmosphere and there was also a bar with a "honour system" to pay. Commentary very interesting and there were no stupid questions. Photo opportunity to wear a captain's hat and steer the ship's wheel - no age limit. Would recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown who wants to get out on the lake and enjoy the views.

Highly recommended tourist attraction - a must! Lovely boat cruise - with a very informative host. We learnt so much about Queenstown in that hour and a half cruise. Very neat and tidy - and lovely and warm inside the cruise boat (especially since it was cold and had snowed earlier in the morning and on and off all day! Great host - thank you Peter, this was a great experience.
