Did Routeburn day hike with Errol. What a great day. The day started with steady rain when we hit the trailhead. Er, track head? Errol was in good spirits and ensured we were prepared. The weather gods favored us, and conditions soon cleared. The rains brought beautiful falls from the cliff walls, and the bird life abounded. Errol's keen skills spotted numerous birds by call and sight, including two rare endangered species: a whio (blue duck) and three groups of Mohua. His knowledge of local flora, fauna, geography and history is impressive. A very pleasant chap and walking companion!

We had an amazing time on our trek of the Routeburn Track with our guide Errol. He was full of knowledge which he imparted upon us with his warming personality. It was an experience that we will not forget thanks to him. The walk was breathtaking!!!

Fresh off the jet-boat river cruise, our party of four adults in the family merged into the deep green, moss-laden national forest for a 3-hour tramp with our highly knowledgeable guide, Errol. We were greeted by friendly native birds, learned more about natural habitat and enjoyed a picnic lunch by the pure waters of Lake Sylvan. Those among us who love the movies produced in the area were thrilled to watch them again, noting our firsthand experiences with the scenery. There's no better way to experience the richness of the New Zealand environment than a guided tramp.

Awesome! Our guide,Errol, was very entertaining and informative. We learned about New Zealand history, biodiversity and wildlife. Spotted multiple birds and tied those to local lore and/or currency. We had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone.

In singing more of Errol's praises, we had a wonderful day on the track having him as our guide. My family and I agreed that if we'd ventured out alone, we wouldn't have gotten nearly the depth and variety of experience and knowledge. Errol was fantastic in sharing not only the track but its birdlife, history, culture, and quirks. Keep up the wonderful work and thanks so much for sharing such a great day with us all.
