Communal facilities are excellent. The only bad thing is that the heater has to be reactiviated every hour.

This New Holiday Park has nice clean rooms. In the room we stayed in had 2 couches, TV Dining Table, Kitchenette, 2 bunks and another big bed. It is a pitty it is in a bad location about 15 mins from Queenstown, it would be better if it was in central Queenstown.

We were camping in tents with a friend for a couple nights in early January at this park. It was really expensive because it was high season unfortunately. The facilities are great but because the park was so busy the facilities couldn't really support everyone using them. If you are there during a less busy time I'm sure you would like it. As it was, we enjoyed it but sometimes had to wait to cook dinner, breakfast, etc. There was enough fridge space though so that's good. The bathrooms were clean. The scenery is lovely and it's out of the madness of the city centre of Queenstown but only by a 5-10 minute drive. The sites are small so you're jam-packed in there. If you are going to Queenstown, it did look nicer than other parks we checked out in the area.

Decided to stay here after cancelling our city-central hotel room (realised it would be too busy & loud for travelling with a baby). SO SO SO glad we did! We stayed in one of the 'executive motel" units and we were wowed with the quality of the place - my experience of holiday parks was bunk cabins and backpacker-ish standards...this was miles ahead of that! Previous reviewer gives a pretty detailed description of the room so I'll just agree with them instead of re-writing the same thing.
The views from our unit were amazing - this would be a genius place to stay in ski season... being able to wake up and see Coronet Peak from your window is impressive!
The play area was very well appointed and our 1 year old enjoyed the swings very much... the owners were adding more swings while we were there too.
Great location - not in Queenstown but only a 5 min drive, but nice and quiet which we appreciated.

Our visit was early December 2010. We stayed in a very well appointed two bedroom cabin (in NZ called park motel) that had a fully equipped kitchen with adjoining lounge area with 2 sofas and TV, full size dining table, small but fully equpped bathroom, a double bed in one room and two sets of bunk beds in the other. The arrangements would therefore suit families and for our family with one teenager we had plenty of room. The bed mattress was divine-one of the best we have ever slept on anywhere in the world! The rooms were spotlessly clean and we loved the fact, like other locations we stayed in in NZ, you got a small container of fresh milk enough for at least 2 cuppas each not UHT. There was also a small deck outside. Parking for the car was in front. The park had a communal building with a large open plan kitchen, seating and games area that, though we didn't need to use it, looked excellently equipped and spotless, including the provision of 2 computers. We didn't check out the communal amenities building. Reception staff (and the owner) were friendly and helpful.

The park is one of the more smaller ones we have visited (to us a plus) but does contain children's play equipment and I thought novel, a child sized climbing wall. Perhaps if you had boisterous children and wanted a large park with loads of faciities and a pool this may not be for you. Whilst located at Arthurs Pt it is close to Shotover jet as other posts have mentioned and there is a large supermarket on the road into town. We valued its peacefulness and not being in the thick of things yet less than 10 mins away. We found plenty of parking in the streets in Queenstown to not have to pay for parking but even if you do park in pay parking area it is very moderate compared to most cities.

Overall this was a wonderful place to stay and beat hands down in price for the amenities, a lot of unit style apartments in town-and don't forget that great double bed! We would stay here again on any future visits.

We stayed here in our campervan for 4 nights. Great service (thanks Kenneth) The park is a 5 minute drive out of Queenstown, and away from the hustle and bustle. Its about 300 metres from the Shotover Jet. The facilities are 5 star for a holiday park. Modern, clean showers, large modern kitchen and lounge with fireplace. It has plenty of grass areas, level sites for motorhomes and a dump station. From what we heard, much more modern and cheaper than the other parks in town. Highly recommended.

Even though its located at Arthur's point (6km away from Queenstown), however you are able to enjoy the cruising as well as a view of the shotover river and jetboat. Its located near onsen hotpool, an additional plus point.

We love the room, its spacious enough. Bathroom is a little small though. The staff was very helpful that she delivered a portable heater to warm our room. We love the kitchen facilities and a space to park our car. The door key and lock is a little "old school" and we spent some time trying to lock and unlock the door.

All in all, its an affordable and wonderful place to stay and we will go back there again! Thank you Shotover Top 10 !
