“Great Disc Golf Course”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

My husband loves Disc Golf and when we find out the Gardens had a course we thought it would be a great way to play and see the park. its an absolutely beautiful spot! It is an amazing way to see lovely views of Queenstown as well. I also don't like disc golf typically but after playing in the prettiest of locations I kind of like it!

If you are visiting this is a great place for a walk, jog, disc or just enjoy the beautiful surrounding!

Wander slowly through these beautiful gardens with your camera and your heart and soul will be enriched. Beautiful gardens with the lake and mountains in the background

“Lovely Stroll”

Was a lovely stroll around the Lake and through the Gardens. Beautiful views as you walk around. Everything was starting to bloom so it was all very pretty.

“Beautiful Park”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

The Queenstown Gardens take up the entire peninsula next the city center and harbor. A relaxing stroll along the many paths takes you past giant California sequoias, a long, narrow pond with ducks, a skating rink, tennis courts, many mixed flower beds and the rose garden. The lake promenade offers superb views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains, including the Remarkables.

A leisurely walk through Queenstown Gardens offers a refreshing change from the high adrenaline, extreme sport adventures available in this area. And it's free.

“A City Garden to Enjoy”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

I visit gardens, especially rose gardens, all over the world and the one in Queenstown did not disappoint. I sat by a little lake and watched the paragliders jump off the mountain and land nearby, amazed that people do that. If you visit New Zealand and especially Queenstown, be prepared to see extreme sports everywhere, like jet boats on the Shotover and bungee jumping. I went on a Level 5 river rafting trip down there that I'll never forget, especially the Aussie leaders dumping us all into the glacier water river and the major waterfall we went over at the end. Thank goodness we were wearing wet suits!
