SPA B&B Therapeutic Massage
Ranked #13 of 43 Queenstown B&B and Inns
Reviewed December 16, 2012

We've spent a few weeks over there with Joseph, Sean and Moto. Life was just excellent, somehow relaxing. The place is beautiful and close to everything. Lovely view to the lake from the balcony. We've enjoyed a lot staying there for a while. We definitely recomend this B&B with its nice and warm atmosphere !! Thanks again to Joseph, the owner. The Frenchies.

Hi, My husband and I just spent one night at Spa B&B. Josef was a wonderful host and the dinner he cooked was fabulous. We recommend Spa B&B to all couples and or families.
Don't forget your cossie as we did and missed out on a soak in the spa.

This review is long overdue. My husband and I spent a delightful 4 to 5 days at Spa B&B around Christmas 2011. We started our trip of the South Island from Queenstown and could not have chosen a better location for our start to the trip. Josef, Moto and and their lovely son Sean - were the perfect hosts. We had not booked the room with the Jacuzzi, and Josef was kind enough to let us have it for a part of our stay as no one was using it. More than one perfect evenings were spent to wind down after a day of bungy jumping, fishing, driving around Paradise and many other outdoor activities that Queenstown has to offer - in the Jacuzzi, looking over to the lake under the clear New Zealand sky with a glass of good wine. I knew I was a fan of little Sean the minute I stepped in to check in, when I saw him putting a flower on the dog - Chocochioko - because she is a girl, he proudly told me. Breakfast was always great and Josef cooked us a BBQ on Christmas - when almost all of Queenstown was shut down. He was always very helpful in guiding us and recommending places/restaurants to go to. All in all a very nice and pleasant visit. Wish we can do it again sometime soon.

We selected Queenstown as a place to get married. The spa room is amazing. The siding glass door opens to a hot tub with scenic views overlooking Frankton Arm. We watched the sun rise from the hot tub the morning after we were married. Josef suggested places for the ceremony and we settled on the Remarkables. It was snowing and we got amazing pictures from 12km up the mountain where we said our vows. This is one of the best experiences we've ever had. The breakfast is some of the best food I've ever eaten, and I consider myself a "foodie.". Josef is very attentive and always happy to take care of things or just suggest things to see & do. Queenstown is a few KM up the road, and the airport and shopping is a short walk from the spa. The massages are a great deal, too. Excellent stay. Would gladly stay again!'

From the wife:) Staying at the Spa B&B was one of the best experiences we had in NZ. Josef picked us up from the airport, started warm fires in our room for us when we arrived and made us the most delicious breakfast we've ever had!! The breakfast came with fresh NZ fruit, a variety of cheese and meats, fresh yogurt, milk, coffee and eggs made to order. He also helped us plan our trips and gave us recommendations for sights daily. We can't say enough how thankful we are For his kindness and hospitality.

My three friends and I are currently still here at the Spa B&B and we are very much enjoying it. We even booked an extra two nights after arriving. Josef is so caring and hospitable and has gone above and beyond to make our stay and our visit to Queenstown wonderful. I'd highly suggest the spa room. Nice location super close to the airport with a fabulous breakfast!

We were lucky to have picked this wonderful little gem. Breakfast is excellent. The place is spotless, spacious and comfortable. Most importantly, Josef and his family are such wonderful hosts. We felt so much at home that we extended our stay to a total of 6 days. We miss little Sean, the most adorable little boy we have ever met! Hope to come back again very soon!!

p.s. New Zealand is such a beautiful country. Everyone should come for a visit at least once in their life time!

Room Tip: I like my room which faces the sea. Nice view!! In fact, all rooms are nice!

We really enjoyed this lovely little guest house in Queenstown. Josef is such a lovely man, very funny and cooks a mean breakfast (plus European style cold cuts and cheese if you want it). If you haven't got much luggage you can walk there from the airport (they offer a free transfer for those laden with baggage like we were) but the double glazing means that you can't actually hear any noise from the planes.

We stayed in a double room at the back of the property, up a flight of stairs, in a purpose built accomodation wing. The are a few bedrooms opening out onto a communal kitchen and living/dining area but they are all carefully screened off so you can interact with fellow guests or hide in your room reading a book if you prefer. The kitchen is a good size and has all the amenities you need for delux self catering. The fixtures and furnishings through out the accomodation are modern and very well kept, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really powerful and spotlessly clean.

The is also a bus stop right outside the house on the opposite side of the road that takes you into central Queenstown in about 10 minutes. If you want to be really in the thick of it, this place isn't for you, but if you want peace and quiet and easy access to the action then it's ideal.

Our only reservation was that it's ever so slightly expensive compared to what else is being offered in the town. I'm sure that doesn't prevent it being packed out during the ski season though when it's ski lodge style would really come into its own.
