Yum! Be sure to try their Baked Brie! Also only eat outside if you don't mind one of the friendly old winery dogs coming around and sitting quietly very close to you hoping for food!

“Lots of delicious samples”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

Very good selection of cheeses - had about 4 different samples to taste, all of high quality. Lots of good chutneys, jams and marmalades to try to. Really like the pinot sauce for marinating.

“Great staff and good value platter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

They were very busy with a bus load of tourists but still found time to smile and serve us
With a lovely wine from the restaurant winery next door to wash it all down, we sat outside in the sun and enjoyed fresh bread nd cheese platter
A lovely way to spend an hour and sampling nice cheese.
Loved the cheesemaking video that one can watch inside

“Great cheese, excellent host”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

Cheesery is one of the nicest places to visit in the area. The cheeses are excellent and the owner/host is kind, helpful and very knowledgable. The establishment is nicely situated in the middle of a small vinyard and right next to a good wine store/restaurant. It's a short drive to Queenstown and it's certainly worth it.

“Such a great spot for lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

We went to the cheesery and although they were busy, the staff were great. Friendly and knowledgeable about the cheeses and also up for a laugh. We got some lunch and sat in the pretty vineyard garden in the sun. We had the baked brie - awesome, vineyard platter with their lovely Balfour Pecorino - awesome and also a flatbread - awesome! For the money the lunch is great we were stuffed and all the food was fresh and delicious. I would definately recommend visiting here and trying the cheeses and lunch options. We will be back to hire a hamper to take with us on the Queenstown Trail in the summer.
