This hotel offers great views and lovely apartments => spacious, very modern and comfortable, fully equipped (big flat tv, gas fireplace, washing machine, dryer, lots of movies to rent, very comfortable beds, linens and sofas). Only missing a few spoons, forks, knives and a decent frying pan.
Very convenient parking.
The hotel is located a bit out of town but the path to Queenstown is ideally located on the lake shore (30mns by foot) and really enjoyable for an early jogging. Free shuttle is an option.
To fill the fridge, would recommend Frankton (nice New World supermarket) as the Queenstown 4 Square is really poorly stocked and overpriced.

Room Tip: A room with a view is worth it

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our jaws dropped when we saw the view from our 2 bedroom apartment. Its a little bit out of town, but only about a 30 minute walk into the middle of town. Made the holiday.

We were booked into the Rees by our agent. We had rooms on the third floor. The. Rooms had wonderful views of the lake and the Remarkable Mountains in the background. Very picturesque. The hotel is located a bit outside of town but has a van service that goes downtown every hour - so we were able to leave the ca r in the free underground parking. The rooms were quite comfortable with comfortable beds and linens. Everything appears new and neat. Highly recommended.

Spent 2 nights here in a 2 bed apartment. It was large and spacious and very stylish with a good modern kitchen, with washing machine and tumble drier. The views were wonderful. Although a little outside Queenstown there is a free shuttle bus available to run down to the town centre or the walk alongside the lake is very pleasant. The only negative was the breakfast as the choice on offer was limited and pricey. The dining room is small for the size of the establishment and therefore breakfast was very busy. The staff seemed overwhelmed. If staying here again I would buy stuff in and eat in the apartment.

The Rees was the best place we stayed in NZ both north and South Island. Great views, great location, great staff, especially the cleaners whom we passed daily and were always extremely nice and helpful and the room was extremely comfortable with nice little luxuries that weren't expected such as heated tiles in the bathroom. Definitely will stay here again.
