We stayed in one of the king rooms and it was very impressive. Lots of glass for the views and also in the bathroom so you could still see the views. We would give an excellent but the views were cut off from the rooms in front. A long walk into town along the path by the water, approx 45 mins. The shuttle bus was on a first come basis and not very often. We got a taxi back once or twice otherwise it would have been a long wait.

this is probably not really a hotel in the true sense as its merely services apartments, but nonetheless, they are great, the rooms a very well appointed, but for the adjoining rooms you did hear a bit of noise for people coming and going, and for the restaurant and room service, its a non event, poor choices.so don't bother there. BUt for the rooms, etc, they are great, i would definitely stay again.

Great 2 bedroom apartment, we loved the washing machine and dryer in room.
Everything you would expect from a 5 star property. Views out to the Remarkables from the balcony were outstanding. Would stay here again. Have stayed in a lot of Queenstown accommodation before and this raises the bar.

We stayed in a 2 bed unit with another couple.Plenty of room with a balcony overlooking the lake.Very well equipped including a washer and dryer. It is out of town a bit but there is a complimentary shuttle and if you like walking it is only 40 mins along the lake.A bit pricey but the comfort made it with the cost.

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment with friends. This is a really good quality Hotel ! not cheap but then Queenstown is relatively expensive and this is worth it.
The room had a very large lounge, an extensive kitchen area and (the ladies got realy excited) to discover a washing machine with tumbe dryer in the cupboard (very usefull when traveling around).
The only downside perhaps was that the 2nd bedroom didn't have its own TV.
The place was spotlessly clean and a large balcony overlooked the lake.
Its about 40min walk into town along the waterfront, there is a shuttle bus (dont forget to book it as it can be popular at some times).

This was our sixth visit to Queenstown, for our daughters wedding.... and our stay this time was the best yet, we had four apartments booked for family and friends, ours being a three bedroom... it was luxurious and comfortable, we had quite a few extras visiting and there was always plenty of room for all to sit and socialise inside or out on the balcony. The views from the rooms were spectacular, especially when we had a light dusting of snow on the first morning, very exciting for us non-snow aussies......the rooms were spotless and if we needed anything it was only a phone call away. The staff were always friendly and helpful especially when one of the bridesmaids rang home (Australia) and got a bit teary talking to her four year old daughter on the phone in reception and was offered tissues and not charged for her call... quite unusual these days. We used the courtesy bus quite a few times, saving us the extra expense of hiring cars. We had a beautiful meal in the True South restaurant on the last night which was exceptional and some of our other guests used room service and they were suitably impressed as well. Personally I can't wait to come back to Queenstown and stay at the Rees again, we have stayed at other four - five star hotels on our previous visits and this was easily the best.

Room Tip: I can't imagine anyone not being happy with their rooms.

This was one of the most fun, modern and luxurious places we stayed during our three-week tour of South Island. The architecture was fascinating and our room, although not on the highest floor, still had a great view of Lake Wakatipu. It was an executive lake view room, very spacious with a tiled balcony and contemporary fixtures, very comfortable king bed, and excellent wi-fi connection. The bathroom was roomy and luxurious, with walk-in shower and spa tub. The staff was most pleasant, professional and helpful. An added bonus for us was the self-serve laundry room down the hall. The hotel is a bit out of town, but we enjoyed the 30-minute walk on excellent paths along the lake to downtown Queenstown. (There is a hotel shuttle service, but it was not scheduled to downtown in the late morning when we wanted to go. We did use the shuttle to return to the hotel after spending the afternoon and evening in town. We don't recommend driving to and from Queenstown yourself if based at the Rees, because the traffic is very congested!). We we wish our itinerary had allowed us to stay more than one night!
