“Wonderful views, but apartment maintenance required”
Reviewed June 13, 2010

We have just returned from staying at Heritage Heights. The views are amazing, it really is beautiful!! It's very steep getting up to the property, would be difficult in the snow!!
A few things were not working - heatpump was playing up, it went for 15 mins then would shut off for 5. One electric blanket was not working, one bathroom heater was not working, power points were not working in the kitchen and bedroom. There was no Sky TV, house keeping or complimentary toiletries as advertised. A little bit disappointing when you are paying $275 per night, you would think all these things would be working.

Our stay here was for 2 nights (Dec 17,18 2009) with 4 adults and 2 children. We wish we had planned to stay longer. Our aparment was on 3 levels with ample space, 3 bedrooms, lounge, living, kitchen, dining, 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. Best of all, fantastic views. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Air conditioning, heating etc made our stay even more accommodating. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful. Will stay again on our next Queenstown visit for sure! Can't Wait!

Heritage Heights is the best apartment we stayed in our 2 week trip to South Island over Christmas/New Year in 2009. We were a group of 7 - 2 families and we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment at Heritage Heights. The views are to die for [see the pics], the apartment itself is closer to Shotover Street and central Queenstown than say some of the apartments on Frankton Road and Karen is most helpful with tips on sightseeing, restaurants etc. We arrived on Christmas Day and she had kept our apartment ready and open and we had no problems whatsoever during our stay. Each apartment has a small balcony overlooking the Lake and Mountains and its just wonderful to sit out for sometime everyday, soaking in the sun and the view. The apartment is just off the main road and hence is very quiet as well. All in all, a true hidden gem in Queenstown.

When I booked this for our family of 7 (3 couples and 1 young child) I was a little worried that the views would be too faraway. Turned out the views were great - just at the right distance, yet you see everything that you want for a lake view property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we had the bonus of watching the new year fireworks from our beds, just like a corporate box!

Our 3 bedroom apartments were very spacious, every room has a lake view, incl. the lounge and kitchen. THe lounge was so big that when we had other friends over it was not crowded - and that's 11 of us! The kitchen was well equipped and functioned well. Beds were comfy - the rollaway mattress provided for my son was the most comfy ever.

Carpark was easy. The road leading up to the property is pretty steep - and if you walk to and from town it's quite an exercise. Roughly 10 min which is not too bad, but I would say having a car is quite important.

A couple of suggestions are that maybe install SKY and provide wi-fi.

All in all we loved our stay and I am very glad of the choice I made on this one!

We stayed as a group of 3 couples in a 3 bedroom apartment. The Apartment was modern and very well appointed with 2 bathrooms and a seperate lounge and fullly equiped kitchen. The location is wonderful. Located on a hill very near the centre of town and with great views.

The managers are wonderful and made every effort to make us comfortable even providing some home baking at check-in. They also gave us great advice on local attractions and arranged reservations for us at a great price for a helicopter ride and jet boat ride.

We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was simply lovely.
They offer a courtesy coach into town at regular intervals.
The pool, sauna and gym are great, but a bit of a hike from the apartment block.
The only thing lacking here is a widescreen TV.in the lounge.

Overlooking the picturesque city of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains, these apartments are truely a home away from home. Our hosts, Karen and Warren were attentive with such a friendly, helpful and caring attitude it made our visit that much more easy. The special gift of home made cookies upon arrival made our day after a long trip. The self contained apartment was roomy for 4 adults with clean and tidy living areas, two balconies, three toilets, two bathrooms, drying room, kitchen (with full equipment), hidden laundry, lounge, heating and three bedrooms. We simply could not have asked for anything more, spectacular views, modern and clean, everything we needed. We left happy, relaxed and thankful that we had the opportunity to stay in this location. We highly recommend!!!
