We did this as a family, and it was one of the best experiences of some twenty years of vacationing as a family. The walk is quite difficult in parts (especially for us, who are in our late fifties and not in the best of shape) - but you can do things at your own pace, and the atmosphere is tremendously supportive. Our twenty something kids had lots of people their own age to hang out with, particularly in the evenings when their exhausted parents were in bed. The guides were awesome, and it was terrific to arrive to warm quarters, have hot showers, clean rooms and gourmet meals with excellent wine. It was absolutely terrific. I highly recommend it
