We booked a bus and ferry with real journeys from Te Anau to Milford Sound ferry. Despite them forgetting to pick us up after a call we were eventually picked up by a second bus and transported to the bus we were supposed to be on. That driver was most informative and his stories of Maori culture was interesting. We got to stop along the way at some scenic landmarks and the kids got to play in the roadside snow. Despite a rainy, cold day the bus trip and cruise of Milford sound was well worth the cost and time. Glad we didn't drive the trip ourselves as the unpredictability of landslides, road closures, and avalanches was enough to put us off! An amazing experience.

Heaven on Earth. Your trip to Newzealand is not complete unless you visit Milford sound.

We took the coach from Te Anau to Milford Sound, and from Milford Sound to Queenstown because we stayed for another night. The 2 driver for both coach were very helpful and accommodating as well. Along the way, they gave us time to explore the landmarks and take photos by stopping and letting us off the bus.

On board the Milford Mariner, the crew were all very friendly and accommodating as well. They try their best to make you feel at home. Activities include kayaking, swimming (if you dare - it was winter time), and exploring on board the tender crafts. Board games are also available on board for those who prefer to stay on the vessel. The food was very scrumptious; they served buffet dinner and breakfast. Accommodations wise, the room was very cozy. We stayed in a double room with our own bathroom. The bathroom was smaller than the average motel/hotel size but it was clean and it catered to our needs so we were fine with it.

Overall, it was one of the best trips that we have gone to; it was worth every cent.

Awesome scenery, rooms very cute, food was healthy and delicious, can kayak or go on a tender, option to get dropped off at the Discovery Centre. Staff were great. Amazing time we saw seals, penguin, and a pod of dolphins.

We attended a lunch cruise. The food (buffet) was nice but the views were wonderful. If you enjoy nature, and seeing beautiful post card worthy scenery. Then I suggest this cruise option.
