The Quest Invercargill is a very tasteful remodelling of the old Post Office building in central Invercargill. It is a lovely building with very large rooms tastefully appointed.
My first impressions were of an excellent room with a decent lounge area and well appointed kitchen. The bathroom was excellent.
Unfortunately, the bed was awful. It was clearly a very old bed (two singles pushed together to make a double) and did not have enough bedding to keep the chill out. Invercargill can be bitterly cold in the winter. Given that the bed is a pretty important part of a hotel room, this was disappointing. I did not sleep well. The air conditioning did not seem to adequately heat the room either. A real shame.
Great staff and very clean and well aportioned. I would check the beds before checking in.More
