“One night stand”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We were there for 4 nights, mix of business & pleasure. This is acceptable, though could do with an update. Best feature is free off street parking beside the apartment. Cooking facilities are OK. Room for two but set up for four which made it a bit cluttered and cramped. No aircon. Hard to ventilate because no flow through unless you open the door and the windows. Bathroom gets very hot and stuffy and is poorly ventilated. Position is good in the heart of Invercargill. Great spot for one night on business or pleasure.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing south in the summer so you don't get too hot.

We are a family of 4 and had two interconnecting rooms. The best accommodation of the trip so far. Very comfortable, clean, light and well located. Close access to every attraction. Old building but with very modern rooms. Well stocked toiletries. our girls loved it and we would hIghly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in a studio room at the Quest Invercargill. The room was adequate - clean and tidy but very very basic (for a Quest). Suited us fine for a short-stay. The kitchenette had a toaster, microwave and a large electric frypan and a kettle.
The bathroom had a shower and was a decent size.
The location of the Quest is good, right in the middle of town. Movie theatre opposite.
Parking provided was good.

We were traveling in a large family group of 10 people and had 2 units of 2 bedroom apartments.

Each of the rooms were very well appointed with each unit having a separate living area along with a full kitchen. The baths were also very good and had good supplies of toiletries.

The location was perfect, right n the main street and close to many eating options and shops. There is a open parking area next to the complex.

The wi-fi though is not free, a pity in these days.

Having also stayed at Quest Dunedin, I highly recommend the Quest properties as having a consistently good standard of facilities.

We had a two room complex on the first floor ... Each room had an ensuite and a kitchen, one had a separate lounge. Comfortable, warm, shielded from street noise with double glazing. This was a surprisingly well set up place for a renovated post office building. I would happily use it again. Near to restaurants and movie theatre

We stayed here for one night and were impressed. We are a family of four with adult children, and were given 2 interconnected rooms which were spacious and light. The old Post Office building gives the hotel a certain charm, and everything you need is provided. We have found Quest apartments to be consistently high standard and good value.

The place for this hotel is pretty much as close to everything in town as you're going to get - make sure you get an executive room as they are lovely. They feel homely, have pretty much everything you need in them and I really could have snuggled down and stayed there for the week if I hadn't got work to do. It may be good to know that while the corridors feel a little chilly (it is an original art deco building so style comes over substance in the corridor areas) the rooms are lovely and warm and really well insulated from the outside world - the windows have extra glazing covers to stop any noise and I didn't hear a thing even though you're near to the pub. A really nice place that I would recommend whole-heartedly.
