We landed up at Invercargill as we had missed our flight home to the UK following a 3 week touring holiday of New Zealand. We were caught up in the horrendous weather and floods on West Coast on 2nd January 2013, and missed our flight from Christchurch due to the Hari Hari Bridge being swept away. Following a very stressful 13 hour car drive from Franz Josef to Invercargill to catch internal flights back to Auckland the following day, we were recommended this Motel. We were very stressed and tired and the Host, Mrs Clark, was truly a life saver. She waited for our late arrival that night and helped supply us with toiletries etc. She gave us the one room she had available and it was perfect. We cannot rate this Motel and the Host enough - Mrs Clark went 'above and beyond' to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The accommodation was immaculate. Our only regret is that we were only staying for the one night - the Motel was centrally located and Invercargill seemed like a lovely place to stay. Maybe one day we'll return for longer - and we would definately book into Tower Lodge.

My husband and I stayed at the Tower Lodge for 10 nights. The hosts were the most friendly people and the accommodation was perfect for us. It was modern, spacious, always cleaned and is located in the best location walking distance to everything.

There's a reason this motel receives excellent ratings -- it is really superb. The hosts are not just friendly, they are knowledge, helpful, and very hard-working, even over the Christmas holiday. They were very helpful in finding rooms in other cities for us and also assisted us in getting a tour for the Doubtful Sound. Lots of good hints and tips (e.g. call the hotel directly to get the best rate). We stayed 2 nights in December 2012 and the room was impeccably clean with many high-end features not found elsewhere (wonderful tub and plumbing features, for instance). Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We stayed for one night and were quite pleased with the unit we were given. Owners are exceptionally friendly, knowledgable of the area and restaurants. The motel unit was huge and was well equipped with everything you need. A nice surprise was the newspaper in the morning!

Not the newest place around but the welcome, assistance and cleanliness make up for this. We stayed in a family unit which was a bit noisy due to neighbouring family but it was comfy and thankfully warm for the cool summer weather. Would definitely recommend to families.

We stayed for 2 nights in December 2012 at this motel and had an amazing experience at the place both in terms of the facilities and the service.
The motel is situated centrally right oposite the iconic Water Tower and easily reachable from the highway. The units are very well maintained, spacious- we stayed in a 1 bed room fully equipped unit.
The host Dawn is wonderful and ever willing to help. Extremely active and has maintained the whle property in an excellent condition.
The place offers very good value for money and I would highly recommend it for anyone passing by or staying over at Invercargill.

A well designed modern unit with a separate bedroom, well equipped and spotless - at a very good rate.

The motel is in a peaceful location adjacent to Queens Park which makes for some excellent relaxing walks. It's very easy to find - a short distance off Highway 1, opposite the water tower. The CBD is 15-20 minutes away on foot, and there's a Countdown supermarket nearby.

The hosts were friendly and helpful with plenty of local recommendations, and very keen to see that we had everything we needed. The breakfast option was well received as it made life a lot easier for us. The wifi (complementary in our room rate) worked very well.

All in all this was a top notch experience, we will very happily stay again when (not if) we return to Invercargill!
