Our flight was delayed about 90 minutes because of fog, but went very well once we were under way. Stewart Island is more developed than we had expected it to be, with accommodations, trails, a "water taxi" to Ulva Island,a protected island that has been freed of invasive animals so that the native animals can flourish and which has many pleasant trails and beaches to enjoy. It was a worthwhile trip, easily accomplished in one day from Invercargill.
