Wonderful to see the real machines that Burt Monroe built to achieve his fame with his Indian motorbike. Plus his Velocette bike, with which he also made speed records. Plus all his workshop is on display here

Excellent tool shop. That by itself would be worth a visit. The addition of an Automotive museum is a jewel in the crown. Featuring the world famous Bert Monroe's "Worlds Fastest Indian"

Thank goodness our hosts brought us here to this incredible store for both men and women. The guys were busy looking at all the motor memorabilia while the gals could spend hours in the housewares and gift section of this store. Can't believe we missed it on our first visit to Invercargill in 2000.
The staff are so friendly and helpful.
Don't miss the opportunity to see this one of a kind emporium!

This huge store is so much more than just hardward and engineering supplies. It also carries gifts, cookware, and camping supplies, in addition to a large collection of memorabilia, the best known being Burt Munro's record-setting motorbike. (His story is recounted in the movie "The World's Fastest Indian," but that's another subject). This store is certainly worth a visit, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
