Don't believe the reviews that suggest Invercargill is not worth visiting. On the contrary we found this place to be delightful and a 2 night stay at the Safari Lodge although a bit pricey, was well worth it. Trish is a wonderful warm person and she and Ray were extremely friendly, helpful hosts for the 4 of us.
The decor of course is African, reflecting their years living there, and the eclectic blend of African and Victorian is delightfully tastefully done. My husband and I have also lived in Africa and were pleasantly reminded of our wonderful experience there.
The large spacious rooms were very welcoming after a day of sightseeing which was kick started with a delicious breakfast cooked to order by Trish. We were treated like family and that is truly how a B&B should be. Trish and Ray have got it spot on!!More
