This really is the end of the road, up in the cliff , which on a foggy day was very weird. Staff were great & the 8 wheeled ARGO exhilarating. We saw Seals in their natural environment & then some rare penguins, including a little baby.

When you arrive at the venue you are instantly welcomed by friendly staff who are passionate about their jobs. Everyone is given a oilslicker (raincoat) and we all piled in to an ARGO - a 4 wheel drive golf cart with grunt!

The ride through the property is so much fun - the ARGO will go anywhere - and does! We spent 10 or 15 minutes watch the seals before heading out to a purpose build hide (for the humans) to watch a yellow eyed penguin and her chick in their natural habitat.

The property itself is also stunning. The 360 degree views of the coastline to the harbour are spectacular - even though it was overcast.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of information. We saw many seals and their pubs and on seal had just given birth, a very memorable experience. We also saw some yellow eyed penguins. At the beginnig of our tour it rained very heavily, we got rain jackets from the tourguide but we were covered in mud when we got back. But in our opinion this even enhanced the experience it was so very interesting and great fun. We would do it again in a minute.

We took a drive to the cafe for a coffee as the nature centre didn't open until 12 noon. when approached the toilets got attacked by a man who I presume is the owner. He was aggressive and unwelcoming. We left without a coffee or using the toilets and would suggest to the man who made us unwelcome to work on providing better hospitality to tourist if he wants to stay in business. I hope that if you choose to go on a tour that nature itself makes your day!
