“Lovely spot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

This is a beautiful garden. There are wonderful shady areas and lots of examples of naturalistic planting. The gallery and gift shop are well-stocked. The pottery shed is wonderful. And, the cafe had some very tasty treats.

“Spring beauty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

Glenfalloch's at its best in Spring, as all the rhododendrons are out now, plus blossom and Spring flowers. It's a great spot to stroll or picnic in, and has its own cafe too. Worth checking out the Potters Cottage at the top of the garden. A good spot for both adults and children. Wonderful on a sunny day. Clean public toilets. Unfortunately there's now a fee to visit.

“Surprising botanical hideaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

Situated on the Otago Peninsula, it is worth the drive from Dunedin just to visit and have a meal at the restaurant and to look at the homestead and the extensive gardens. It can be a lunch stop on the way to the Albatross Colony. The location exudes peace and natural beauty affording glimpses of the Otago Harbour through the trees as you enjoy bush walks in the grounds.

“A bit dissapointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2012

We took our toddler here, hoping to find space for him to run around before we settled down on a lawn for a picnic. We soon discovered that it's mostly made up of tracks up a hill and the only real picnicing space is what you see as you drive in. Although the tracks are lovely, they do seem disorganised, with the sign posts being quite unclear. I think this place could do with a bit of TLC really - a big team of gardeners are needed to do some intensive work to get it looking really lovely.
