Description: We are the foremost information centre on the Otago Peninsula and are open for breakfast lunch and afternoon tea. Or you could pick up one of our picnic bags and take it on one of our self guided walks. We make all our own cakes and pies as well as our own delicious ice-cream. We have great coffee and 17 varieties of tea as well as milkshakes and smoothies and the best harbour side views of any cafe in Dunedin.

Great pies and pasties and all sorts of surprising and edible goodies to accompany a big flat white coffee. Nice stop off for breakfast (yet to try), lunch or afternoon tea. Nice place to be whatever the weather and the view is always changing.

We stopped in here as they were the only place open or serving food on the peninsula after 2.30pm! Don't be fooled by the 'open' sign lying down at the door, it's probably just too windy to have it standing up. The food was not overly exciting but that being said it hit the spot. The cafe interior itself is fairly quirky. The walls have world maps and lots of information about penguins. I'm happy we stopped in :)

Great place for breakfast. Excellent views.
Home made muesli terrific
Arrived early as we had to get on our way - so staff let us in before they were ready to open and we had a really nice breakfast, great view and the paper to read.

I wasn't expecting much from this very unimpressive exterior. I was mistaken. The owner is charming and the food yummy. Gourmet? No. But a great place for breakfast. Also, make sure you get some of the local honey while you are there. I only bought one jar and was sorry later.

This would have to be one of the best cafes around. While it may not be the trendiest cafe in town, it is one of the very few decent cafes on the peninsula.

The burgers have to be some of the best we have ever had and the toasted sandwiches were pretty good too. (Brown bread means rye to them; much better than supermarket brown!) Today's slice was also really good and not overloaded with sugar, like that in many other cafes. A pot of tea means a pot of tea, with extra water and with a pot big enough for four cups' worth. The coffee and hot chocolate were also great.

We would go back, and have been. The coffee card makes it one of our desirable destinations.
