“OK, but it was COLD!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2011

We went there in July, it was freezing. The cottage does not have double glazing and the front sliding door is half glass, half aluminium or some sort of steel which acts like a fridge. The heatpump (air-conditioner that blows hot air) just could not cope. The cottage was spacious and well located. The sofa bed in the lounge cannot be recommended for adults as the metal bar under the thin mattress cuts across your back.
Heaps of board games which kept the kids happy.
Fully functioning kitchen - for laundry you'll have to use the hosts' facilities in the house just next door.
The view over the steep hill at the back is spectacular, but don't take small kids (under 6) up there as it is very steep UP and very steep DOWN to the cliff with only a wire fence that seems to lean over the cliff ...
If you are a couple, with no kids, staying in warm weather - it is a great spot. For more than 2 people or in cold weather - choose somewhere else.

Thanks for the feedback. We're sorry you found it cold - we have not had this complaint previously from other guests, and were not aware of it at the time of your stay. We've taken your comments on board - there is now an extra heater in the cottage, and we are upgrading the insulation.

The cliffs are perfectly safe from the paddock at the top - there is no need to climb down.

We welcome families and are well set up for children, at any time of the year. There is lots of space for them to run around, plus play equipment and toys.

A very nice experience!! We loved eating dinner on the porch and watching the sheep next to the cottage. Step out the back door and enjoy a fantastic walk to cliffs over the sea. There is a two burner hot plate, frig and micro so cooking is no worry. We hope to return someday.
