Staying in the delightful suburb of Roslyn, Dunedin, at these smart, relaxing and sumptuous apartments, made coming home each day a pleasure. Sitting with a cuppa in the extremely comfortable bed while gazing out to the reflective Otago harbour and sweeping Peninsula beyond, made for the best start to the day.

Perfectly appointed, positioned and peaceful, why stay anywhere else!
Thank you Donna for a home away from home.

We spent 6 nights at Roslyn to watch England play the 1st test match at the University Oval in Dunedin. We were delighted the moment we arrived and it became a real home from home. Roslyn is a small fashionable suburb 2 kms up the hill from the CBD and so has fantastic views of the harbour and the Otago Peninsula. This is a proper apartment with modern fitments and furnishings and was very clean. The kitchen area was virtually brand new and it had an excellent bathroom which included a washing machine and a dryer. The best feature was the heated floor in the bathroom which came in very handy when we came back drenched from the rained off first day. It is a 2 minute walk to the supermarkets, bars, coffee shops and restaurants of Roslyn and we made the most of them. I walked into the village most mornings to Rhubarb for fresh coffee and muffins for breakfast. We had a great meal at Luna for my birthday and enjoyed Zucchini Bros one evening, too. The fish and chip shop was superb and I enjoyed bluff oysters and chips as they were in season. Our host Donna really looked after us and we also met Jay, the owner, who was just as helpful. Thank you both for a superb stay.

Room Tip: A bit of a steep drive so if disabled go for a ground floor room

Thank you for taking the time to review Roslyn Apartments. It is fantastic that we were your favourite place to stay while you were in NZ following the cricket.

Roslyn is a very nice part of town, lovely and quiet but also not far from the city centre. We love it that visitors from overseas enjoy the view, we never get tried of it,it is so beautiful.

Hoping to see you again when England tours NZ again!!

kind regards

We spent 2 nights in this beautiful apartment. The location was great - close to local shops and restaurants (Luna restaurant was superb) and within reasonable distance from the city centre. The view from the apartment was wonderful and the whole place was beautifully clean and well appointed. The bed was by far the most comfortable we have stayed in during our tour of the South Island. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Having a washer and drier in the apartment was an added plus, making it easy to catch up on our washing. All round an excellent place. Will definitely stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to do such a lovely review of our apartments. We are so lucky here that there are two supermarkets and a selection of cafes and restaurants only a short stroll from the apartments.

The washing machine and dryers almost always get used immediately as guests catch up with their accumulated laundry from their travels, they are very popular.

Hope to see you again next time you are in New Zealand

Kind regards

We stayed for three nights and had one of the most comfortable beds ever. The apartment was well appointed, an easy walk into Dunedin (slightly harder coming back uphill, but not bad), and we loved the comfortable bed. We hope to return soon!

Room Tip: The higher level at the back got really nice views.

We stayed here for 2 nights. This is a real apartment -- not a generic motel suite. There is a washer, a dryer, a dishwasher, and a large screen TV. The furniture is comfortable and the free internet/wi-fi was very fast. The hosts/owners are very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is nice and central, with supermarkets and shops very close by. It is also a nice walk to the CBD.

Room Tip: Our apartment was on the upper floor, which provided lovely views.

The apartments do have a lovely comfortable feel and it is easy to "make yourself at home". The washing machine and dryers in the apartments are very popular as it is convenient to do your washing without having to leave the apartment or pay extra!!!

Thank you for staying with us.

We stayed 2 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment (Number 6) based on the below reviews.

The owners were lovely and took the time to give some ideas and things to do around Dunedin.

The apartment was lovely and very well equiped, great addition of a washer and dryer in the bathroom made washing very easy. The bed was lovely and firm, after our previous nights in a soft bed, made a fantastic nights sleep.

With 2 supermarkets and restaurants only a 5 minute walk from the apartments was lovely. The japanese restaurant was great and would highly recommend.

We had a car and parking was easy, we always found a park at the top of the driveway between the apartments. As we had a car we drove into the city centre, which was easy and parking around Dunedin was easy and cheap. From the hotel there was a few hills into the city, if you have a car I would highly recommend Roslyn.

Thank you for your review. We get so many positive comments about our full well equipped kitchens, so it is great for us to know they are appreciated and enjoyed. The beds are fantastic aren't they!!! It is so important to get a good nights sleep while traveling so you are well rested for the next day of rigorous site seeing ...and hopefully also coffee drinking and wine tasting!!

We chose to stay here for 5 nights based on trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. Dunedin is a lovely City and a great base to explore the lower South Island.

Our 1-bed apartment was very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and fully equipped with everything we required. We never had any problems with parking on site and found the location excellent for access to the City centre. There are 2 good supermarkets and nice restaurants within 50 yards of the apartment.

Our walk to the Octagon was about 20 out and 25 mins return. If you are unfit or have mobility issues you will struggle with the return journey up a steep hill. However you can take the car as parking is fairly good in Dunedin. There are also buses to Roslyn from the Octagon and a taxi is reasonably cheap (circa $10NZ).

Our host Donna was very friendly and helpfully loaned us a book which directed us to walks in the area. Mount Cargill offers fantastic views over Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula and the Peninsula itself was very beautiful.

If we return to Dunedin, the Roslyn Apartments will be our first choice.

If I could make one suggestion I would ask Donna to look into the possibility of having a Gas Barbecue available for use by guests. We found this was a useful facility provided by other places we stayed in.

Thank you for your review of our apartments. It is such a good idea to stay 5 days and use Dunedin as a base for day trips as we are only an hour and a half away from so many quaint little Otago towns. Thank you for the BBQ suggestion.

We look forward to seeing you again next time you are in Dunedin.
