Yes, it was lovely and peaceful on a warmish spring day. Blossom was blossoming and the atmosphere exuded tranquility as well as a sort of attractiveness and separation from the real world.
The gardens allow time to relax and unwind and it seems that locals often bring their own lunch and "renew themselves" during their lunch breaks and snacks are available in the Tea Room, although these are limited in range and size.
All in all, a lovely spot to visit and one which deserves several visits throughout the year (an annual pass is available for $20) in order to see the changes in colour and mood.
