We usually have breakfast and sometimes lunch in this cafe when we are visiting Dunedin. The food is always fresh, well presented and tasty. The staff are friendly as well. It's also nice to see a cafe that clears away crockery etc once the tables are vacated.

First timer and I enjoyed it so much. The muffins and cinnamon scolls are unbelievable. We went at lunch time and they were super busy. Service and food fantastic. Clean and tidy cafe. Well done and keep up the good work.

We had a late breakfast here. The service was quick and efficient. I had a full breakfast and my wife has smoked salmon and poached eggs. Both were very good and tasty. The place was really busy with locals which is always a good sign.

Don't see what all the fuss is about this place. Breakfast for two adults and children was verging on expensive ($65) and not very good. Firstly they had run out of salmon for the kumara mash and also ciabatta, but the killer was that they only broke the news after the drinks had arrived and it was too late to head somewhere else. The manager did go to the supermarket for some bread, but only after I offered to pop out and get some. On the drinks front, the iced chocolate, tea and coffee were ok, however the banana smoothie was gross as the banana was too green. The food was just as hit and miss. Toasted muslie was nice, bacon (replacement for salmon) on kumara mash was bland, and the bread (with bacon and eggs) hardly even toasted. I won't be returning and certainly can't recommend based on this experience.

Had a quick lunch here while doing a course in Dunedin - this cafe does a nice smoked salmon and rosti. The smoked salmon was not overcooked and remained moist and very soft. However, the smoked salmon and "kumara hash brown" was a bit of a disappointment, as the so-called hash brown turned out to be more like a mashed kumara/potato.
The chai latte was quite good.
Would recommend this cafe if you are looking for a coffee or hot drink, or a light lunch.
