I had a dinner in March at the 50 Bistro. In general it was ok. Had oysters on the shell, salmon belly tempura and prime aged beef fillet. The food was well prepared, but had no taste of its own. The beef, was as asked for, medium rare, the best medium rare I have had in New Zealand, exactly how it should be. But the meat in itself was tender but totally without any taste of its own. A better selected meat would have been a great main course when it was so nice prepared.
