We stayed at the Ashford Motor Lodge for 3 nights. We were treated like long-lost friends! The room was wonderful - very comfortable, incredibly clean, updated. Close to anything you could want in Christchurch - shops, restaurants, tours, etc.
The staff was so friendly and helpful.
With all kitchenware included, it is ideal for a couple or small family to stay as a base for tourist activities.

We stayed in a different hotel every night for two weeks while we were in New Zealand, and his place had the most beautiful room of them all. It was homey, clean, and just plain comfortable. The location was pretty good. Fairly close to downtown, and lots of restaurants. The people working here were also really great; they spent the time letting us know where to go downtown and where to eat. Great place.

I stay here regularly and have never been disappointed. Very friendly and helpful managers, nothing is a problem, at any time.
Rooms are well appointed and clean, and private and quiet at the rear. Very well located within easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, transport, retail boutique shopping, and Hagley Park.
I wouldn't consider staying elsewhere.

Friendly staff, good location that is nearby the town & hotel was easy to find. They provide free wifi. The room is spacious enough for the five of us to sleep in. There is a kitchenette for some light cooking.

Accomodation is sparsely available at Christchurch, and you need to book early to get a nice hotel, and this place you won't go wrong. Well located, nicely furnished, with clean rooms, and good old fashioned service, you simply cannot go wrong.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for one away from main road.
