Description: The Lotus-Heart is dedicated to conscious living and healthy eating, striving to create a global cuisine naturally. We use the freshest ingredients, locally grown and organic where possible, pure vegetable oils and vegetarian cheese, and avoid the use of microwaves unless specifically requested due to time constraints. We respect and honour the choices and requirements of our customers and in addition to our pure vegetarian fare, we offer options for vegan, gluten-free, raw food diets, and are more than happy to cater for specific allergy needs. Children are most welcome and we have a children's menu and high chairs available.

I was brought along, unsuspecting of the environment we'd be having our girls dinner. When we arrived, the table wasn't quite ready (we were early) so we browsed the "gift shop" in the back. From lovely musical instruments, to funny hand-made cards, it's eclectic and charming.

Dinner was lovely, the curry of the day was savory, and my pink "cocktail" (no alcohol here) was so yummy! Service was great. I can't wait to come back!

At start, warmful welcoming. My first vegan experience and I enjoyed it! Food was great and healthy (of course), without talking about the macha smoothie!!!
Friendly staff. Nice decoration and good atmosphere.
While you are waiting to be served, just read the quotes on the table and think

The restaurant is bedecked like a mini-temple, they've done a perfect job of creating their desired environment, it does indeed feel very peaceful and welcoming. In addition to the restaurant there is a coffee & gift shop as well.
The waitstaff were friendly and helpful with explaining items on the menu. The vegan pesto was absolutely to die for. The flavours of all the dishes were perfectly tempered and there's a lot of choice. My non-veggie boyfriend loved it as well, we shared a starter and neither of us could finish our mains, so the portions are generous too.
It gets very busy so it pays to book ahead of time. They don't serve alcohol, but have a generous and imaginative selection of alternative beverages.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I very much look forward to my next visit.

Being omnivorous ourselves, but having to host a vegetarian house guest, we decided to check out one of the local vegetarian restaurants, and what a terrific find.
Being only a small restaurant, open only two nights of the week, and (as we found out whilst there), very popular, reservations are absolutely essential.
They have a rather unusual reservation booking system where you give your details to an answering machine, and then turn up (unless they call you to say not to).
As it turned out, they had phoned back, but due to an incorrect contact number being given/recorded, we (a group of five) expectantly turned up at the time reserved.
Instead of being turned away, the staff very graciously accepted that there had been a case of miscommunication, and set about accommodating us in a very full restaurant.
Indeed, all through the entire evening, we were only treated with absolute grace, and were never given a sense of us being intruding, or unwelcome.
The waitress we had was exceptionally charming, and very helpful in explaining some of the unknown aspects of the menu.
The food itself was absolutely wonderfully presented and extremely tasteful.
One restaurant that deserves to be right up there at the top, and very much worth a visit (and a revisit), even if your usual fare includes meat.
