This was my first visit and it definitely won't be the last. Good selection of beers on tap, with some funky names and varied tastes. Tried a few, and ParrotDog & Coconut Porter were my favourites. Very busy in both bar and dining area and it's easy to see why. My mussel and bacon chowder was spot on, and the service friendly and unobtrusive. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Someone advised Pomeroys and it was a verf good choice. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was exquisite, relaxed atmosphere. What more do you want for your last evening in New Zealand?

If you like craft beer and good food, this is the place! They have over 13 beers on tap and the staff is really great at helping you choose a beer you will absolutely love. I like hoppy beers and got Eric's Pale Ale--fantastic! For food, we got the vegetarian tart of the day and the bangers and mash. Both were excellent.

A table next to us, confessed they all own restaurants and were glad Pomeroy's is not their competition!

I have been for lunch several times and have had the seafood chowder. Its big and thick with chunks of fresh seafood served with crusty bread, all for $14.

Groups of us have eaten dinner here several times and all the meals have been great! My personal favourite is the ribeye done rare. Always perfect with a good dark beer. I can never stray from the steak but others have tried fish and chips which is fresh with a thin batter and nice chips.

Cant fault it.

Went there on a hot saturday evening for dinner and even though the outside space was full there was still room inside. Very cosy feel to the place, decent range of food, very tasty (we had pork belly and bangers & mash), really high standard.

Excellent range of beers available too.
