“Lovely bush setting with NZ wildlife”

Set in a lovely bush setting with lots of variety of NZ wildlife. Was interesting to see Kiwi in an artificial night time environment. Well worth a visit.

“a date with the maori”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

The enthusiastic guide who took us around to view the aviary, the sighting of the nocturnal flightless kiwis, the graceful black and white swans, the kune kune pigs were a new experience. The Maori dance and haka were interactive and enjoyable. The hangi was not very tasty, but the complete experience was worth attending.

“Great outing for the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

Great way to spend the morning. Kids get really close up with the animals and can feed them. Lots of animals to see, those unique to new zealand and others.

“Best Kiwi viewing in New Zealand.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Enjoyable visit for the family, especially interaction with the various animals.
We liked the way that the reserve was laid out: it made it easy for us to understand the different animal groups.
Seeing the Kiwis was a definitely highlight - in my opinion the best viewing that we've experienced in New Zealand.
