My daughter who is 4 absolutely loved it here, the giraffes were amazing and all the animals looked fit and healthy. As i work in the conservation sector as well i was really impressed with how well the animals were. The Gorillas were amazing so were the spider monkeys. The tigers were a little more difficult to find in their enclosure but that just adds to the fun of the whole experience. You definitely get your money worth. We decided to hire a push chair which i am glad we as we ended up walking 10km that day, it wore the 4 year old out but she loved every single part of this place and will absolutely be back.

I have never seen a wildlife park where the animals have so much space which is reassuring and great to witness. They have rhinos which I had only ever seen on TV. The animals appear to be in good shape and healthy. There are lions, cheetahs, tiger, addax, reptiles, meerkats, NZ birds and we were privileged to see a Tui. Orangutans, gorillas, giraffes, kiwi, kea, ostrich, zebra, tasmanian devils and lots more. We spent 6 hours viewing the animals and were also lucky to have the wax-eye birds come along on the picnic tables.

Orana Park is a great family experience for all ages, it's animals are well treated for and in open enclosures. We were lucky enough to feed the giraffes (by hand!), see the tiger feeding, and the kiwi about a meter away from us feeding! Overall, it was a beautiful place with a nice cafe and well treated animals.

My tip is to be at Orana by 10.00am and follow the feeding cycle around the facility. That will give you the best views of active animals, the talks by the volunteer staff, and the best photo opportunities. Have some lunch when the volunteers do, then set off again. This is a really top notch facility, with the most informative and friendly volunteer hosts.

This park is underwhelming, save you money and find something better to do. Enclosures poorly maintained, generally not well kept compared to real zoo's.
