Banksy exhibition at the Museum was great. (Free as well). The whole museum is very interesting, with lots of NZ/Maori information and exhibits as well as other various things such as Asian exhibits and costumes. The Museum has been overhauled since I was a child and used to visit with school - it was very impressive.

The Street Art Exhibition was amazing, so much inspiration for the whole family.
So much to see generally, the kids loved riding the Penny Farthing.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a memorable time.

Called at the museum as it was raining. Wow think it covers three or four floors. Really interesting particularly enjoyed the area telling the tale of the first settlers. Other areas covered were about the Antarctic expeditions, the earthquake and even a house that is famous for the front room walls being covered in shells. A very interesting time was had by all.

The museum was clearly an old favourite with locals who were streaming in to see the Banksy exhibition.

The main displays were relatively old fashioned compared to the exhibits at the much newer air force museum and Aucklnd's museum and war memorial, the latter having at lest two major overhauls.

Unlike the other two, entrance was free, with patrons invited to make a donation, so that made it very good value. It's worth supporting, like everything else in Christchurch, especially the organisations and individuals trying to give it a go.
