unfortunately a lot is closed off thanks to the earthquakes but that aside it was still a nice activity to do and something worth doing, the paua house was my favourite bit and the exhibit i most highly recommend!

Last July, we had the opportunity during a visit to Christchurch to look inside the Canterbury Museum.
At this time, part of the museum had been closed due to repair after the earthquake, but that did not stop us from viewing and appreciating all of the displays and works of fine art that we were able to see. The entrance was free, so that made it all the more worthwhile

The Staff in the Museum were very friendly and informative, and we found the food in the cafe to be good and reasonably priced.
All in all, a Great Day out!

Right next to the Botanical Garden, it provides a nice and educational shelter when it rains. Many interesting exhibitions, great for all ages. Wish some parents can control their children's noise level.

The entrance is free but they would really want you to donate at least NZD 5 upon entrance. But it's really worth to visit.
