On the weekend of 11th July, 2013, 14 of our Sweet Adeline Chorus - Foveaux Harmony Chorus travelled to Christchurch for a Coaching weekend, at Rangi Ruru School. Unfortunately for us it was a very cold and wet weekend but luckily for us the hospitality shown to us out of towners by Penny was excellent. Three of us arrived early on Friday morning, hoping to leave our bags for safe keeping at the Motel until later in the day, amazingly our units were all ready for us, this was great and allowed us to get ourselves organised and settled in. On both Friday and Saturday nights when we returned late in the evening our units had drapes drawn and the heaters were on, so our rooms were all very warm and cosy, it was greatly appreciated. Penny was extremely helpful with all of our queries and an excellent hostess, we will be recommending Camelot Motor Lodge to others when staying in Christchurch.

Great to have you all here for the weekend and we are so pleased you had a great time at the Camelot. Space is a pre requisite when there are lots of people and we have plenty of that in our rooms. Thanks again for staying and we look forward to seeing you back again in the future when you are in Christchurch again.

We stayed in a Studio unit, while others in the family were accommodated in a larger unit.
Very quiet and so close to what was ' the Square," We, in our sperate unit, had the best sleeps in a long time - even missed an earthquake!
This is the first time we have visited since the earthquake so it was a sobering experience, but not as unhappy as I thought it might be. There were lots of entertaining, and some very talented, buskers and a calm, serene atmosphere.
Camelot motel people are very friendly and generous and the grandchildren loved the suit of armour - they believed they were staying in a castle.

Room Tip: The moteliers will do that for you.

We stayed at the Camelot Motor Lodge over Queens Birthday weekend. There was 7 of us 5 adults and 2 children, they accomadated us in a unit with 5 singles and a queen. The unit was lovely and homely and also quiet and away from the road. Their is a back entrance which is good when you are trying to go somewhere when there is a build up of traffic. The only thing that let the unit down was the shower , if we had been any taller than 5'5' we would have to bend down to wash our hair, otherwise pressure was good and plenty of hot water . Dvd player in the room kept the kids happy and they supply a BIG range of dvds to watch. Next time we come and stay there will only be 2 /3 of us and i'm sure they will accomadate us just as well. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: Motel in walking distance of everything and with plenty of parking and 2 exits it makes it easy to c...

Called up at short notice and Brian was extremely helpful in making a booking for 2 nights. When we arrived we were also upgraded to a suite! The room was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and shower was good. Brian recommended some local restaurants to us which turned out to be worth eating at. Highly recommend staying here.

Our family of 4 stayed at Camelot in April 2013 for 19 nights while Fletchers were repairing our home after the earthquakes. I can not speak highly enough of the service we received. Sue and Trevor (the Managers) are the loveliest people. Nothing was ever a problem with them. The house keeping was always to a very high standard and they went the extra mile with lovely little touches in the unit. Our unit was warm and it was incredibly quiet, we never heard traffic noise. The unit was spacious enough for the four of us to be comfortable and not have the feeling that we were in each others space. Having the second bathroom was a bonus for our teenage daughter. I have already recommended Camelot to our friends who are soon to relocate while temporary from their home. I hope I have an excuse to go back to the Camelot and stay again, it was very relaxing during a stressful time. Thanks to all the staff at the Camelot

Room Tip: We had room 745, right in the middle of the complex. Absolutely wonderful

Received excellent service from front desk staff and many eating options. Clean rooms, nothing fancy but everything you need in a motel room. No pool really, it is tiny and spa is essentially non-existent. There was construction going on when we checked in but did not interfere with our stay. We walked to Botanic Gardens and Sea Container mall but was much farther than we thought, we hiked for a few miles. Good location, relatively close to downtown Christchurch and not too far from airport, so this was a convenient stay for us traveling through and from Christchurch.
