Less than five minutes from the airport so perfect for an early morning flight. Courtesy shuttle to the airport. Pricey to use the internet at the hotel.
Restaurant at the hotel is very good...quite a nice surprise!

My wife & I stayed at the copthorne commodore hotel on the night of a 7.1 earthquake. Thank God we picked this hotel. The building stood up to the massive quake and we had no fear that it was about to fall down. In the morning there was no electricity, water or sewage. Yet the staff cooked up a fantastic cooked breakfast for us, the guests and anyone else per gratis. Incrediable! That night dinner was served as normal except every so offen there was another aftershock which made the roof slide backward and forwards. But we and the guests just carried on eating. Thank you to the wonderful staff and management. We will certainly reccomment this hotel to our friends and yes! we will return again. Hopefully without the earthquake!

Spent one night here as it was close to the airport pick-up for our campervan the next day. Good, solid, basic hotel. Had a business hotel feel about it, but there was a conference on the day we stayed.

Clean and tidy, helpful staff, free public transport pass offered, free shuttle to and from airport/campervan.

Great place to stay if you have an early morning departure and rental car .
Dropped car off at airport around 2000Hrs on Saturday night and called hotel from free phone at Airport - waited only 5 mins for pickup in shuttle bus . The Service the next morning at 0400 was just as good - went down to lobby and waited about 3 mins for shuttle bus to Airport . Helpful staff very clean motel . Close to Airport but not many planes on night we stayed -so can't comment about that

We stayed here for a very short nice on route from Sydney to Queenstown. Arrived very late and left very early, so didn't get to spend much time at the hotel, but was very happy with the few hours we spent there. Called the hotel from the airport when we arrived, and within ten minutes max. we got got collected by the shuttle - very pleasant young driver.

When we arrived at the hotel, we fancied a beer but the bar was shut - they offered to re-open it for us without us asking, which we accepted - not many hotels would do that. The guys on reception were also very nice and helpful.

The rooms are fairly standard 4* - clean and comfortable, nothing special. We had a garden room, and great that most (or all?) rooms have outdoor space. There is a pool, which we didn't use, but it looked nice from the bar!

The wake up call at 5am came in as requested and we got shuttled back very quickly - again, very pleasant driver.

All in all a very good hotel close to the airport.
