“Good coffee - relaxing place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

This is close to our office and is a good place to catch a quick coffee or a meal. Service is friendly and good NZ produce is served. Parking is convenient

“Delicious and Delightful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

I just love it at Edesia . . . excellent service from the moment you walk in the door. The ambience is charming and peaceful .. . . altho I always eat early when it's not very full. I found at that time too the food arrives relatively quickly. Food tastes delicious and is well presented. Their asparagus soup with truffle froth was divine. Great selection of wines. I almost think it is a shame that the premises are off the main thoroughfare because a lot of people may not know it is here and it definitely deserves a visit and regular patronage. We are lucky to have such a good restaurant in Riccarton/Addington.

“Could be much better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012 via mobile

Nice space. Good low key Christchurch service. Have eaten here 3 times. Excellent well priced wine list. BUT the food is too safe and boring. Push the limits a bit more guys.

“birthday dinner great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

Christchurch is lacking top-quality restaurants at this time, so this and The George are my favourite two. Edesia has professional, friendly staff in a modern, spacious setting. The menu is prepared with great care, with emphasis on fresh, local produce and plenty of flair - lots of little extra tastes and extras that make it very memorable. Not huge servings; quality not quality. Wines to match each part of menu if wish.Gift vouchers are available; I've used these twice this year. You must book!

“Great coffee but meals bit expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2012

An odd place to find a restaurant - Show Place is full of corporate office buildings and the restaurant is hidden in below a Gym complex. Since the earthquakes, and the relocation of so many companies to this area it has come alive and Edesia is now often full of business meetings over coffee or lunch. meals are nice but I feel expensive for what they are. Coffees are good - would be nice to see them extend their range to enjoy with a coffee - currently only have couple of options available.
