Pick up was smooth , We got to see whale , seals n dolphins. Seafood was also fresh n yummy esp the whitebait fritter. A big shoutout to Steve who has been upbeat , informativen n accommodative . He made sure we had the best Kaikoura experience . Highly recommend tour agency .

Avoid at all cost. Canceled the morning of the tour. Sick driver which they knew the day before. If I was told of the risk that they could not find a replacement driver I could have adjusted my plans and not waist the one day I had in Christchurch

We do apologise again for unfortunately having to cancel the departure of this tour on this date. As explained on the morning of the tour, our guide had called in sick around 8.30pm the previous night and we had then called around our team to find cover which was unfortunately unsuccessful, so informed guests as soon as we could in the morning.
We do hope the rest of your travels around New Zealand went well despite this disruption.

Friendly staff, drivers very helpful in assisting with getting around town. Buses were clean and comfortable. 24 hour passes help to spread your time out over 2 days. You can also buy discounted tickets for the Sky Tower and aquarium.

We went on the Hassle-Free Whale Watching trip from Christchurch to Kaikoura today (a trip booked in advance with a UK travel agent).
Our driver, Steve, arrived 10 minutes before the pick up time and greeted us with biscuits. We were the first pick up and drove around Christchurch to pick up the other six guests before making our way north to Kaikoura. Steve gave a running commentary and pointed out many interesting features along the way. After a coffee break we stopped again at Otumatu Rock where we had an excellent vantage point to view seals and dolphins. We had 25 minutes for lunch and to look at shops at Kaikoua - not really time for those going to eat at a café but fine for us as we had taken packed lunch. The paua shell shop was well worth a visit.
The highlight was the boat trip itself. It was very professionally organised with good safety briefing prior to boarding. The commentary and PowerPoint presentation were informative and delivered with humour, and safety was again paramount. The staff were able to locate two sperm whales and the staff's knowledge of their behaviour meant were we informed prior to the tail-flip with our cameras ready. As we had time to spare we were taken to another spot to enjoy the antics of the playful dusky dolphins.
Steve was ready to pick us up directly from the boat to return us to Christchurch. Throughout the day he was an excellent driver and guide, and we would like to thank him for his part in making this day so memorable.
It is also worth mentioning that, should the weather been too bad for the boat, Hassle-Free had arranged that guests will be taken on a whale-watching flight at no additional charge.
