My wife and I stayed for 1 night at Pam and Denis' gorgeous Lilac Rose upon arriving in CHC. It was a wonderful experience, and they were extremely accommodating and true NZ ambassadors. From an early arrival and pick up at the airport where they let us leave our bags and set off for the day on some of their bikes, to a fabulous breakfast before our campervan pick-up, they were truly gracious hosts. That they had a wonderful puppy & cat, beautiful grounds, amazing rooms (and the nicest bathroom of anywhere we went), a warm, comfortable bed, birds and sunshine in the morning, and a delicious breakfast (I had eggs benedict!) only made the experience even better. They are truly top-notch and we will definitely stay again when we return to CHC!

4 of us stayed in the lovely house for our last 2 nights in NZ. It's a great way to end the trip. The pets, the house decor, the breakfast and Pam and Denis are just too great to be missed by anyone visiting Christchurch.

When we arrived at the airport Denis came and picked us up in a matter of a few minutes. We arrived at a delightful old house and had a drink with Denis and Pam. They advised us where the best places were to eat. After coming back we sat down to Pam's delicious muffins and a cuppa and had a chat. We then retired to our small but very comfortable room. It was quiet and we slept well. The breakfast which was cooked by Denis was smashing. Afterwards Denis took us to the train station for the train to Greymouth. Pam and Denis were wonderful hosts and if we come to Chistchurch again we would not hesitate to stay at Lilac Rose again.

We stayed at the Garden room for 2 nights. The house is beautiful and there are full of roses in the garden.

Hosts are frienldy and the puppy is just too cute. A highly recommended B&B in Christchurch.
