We stayed at Lilac Rose on the eve of my friends wedding. It is a beautiful house with lovely gardens. The rooms were beautifully furnished and the beds were very comfortable. Our hosts were so friendly and made us feel comfortable and at home. Breakfast was delicious!

Was just using this b & b as a stop between flights which was a shame, would love to have stayed longer lol the breakfast was amazing everything is homemade and fresh I quite enjoyed the preserves and yoghurt. The hosts are very welcoming and will help you all they can.

Having just arrived from Hobart to find my luggage had just gone walkabouts, I was feeling a little tired and frazzled, until opening the gate of Lilac Rose. There was Pam in her beautiful garden with a welcoming smile. We sat and chatted with her and some of her family over a cup of tea, home made friands and later a glass of wine. Dennis arrived later and was very concerned about my missing luggage and motivated us to seek compensation, which Pam later followed up successfully with the airline. We felt like part of their extended family and it was both refreshing and reassuring to meet such a caring and hospitable couple.
Very homey, luxuriously comfortable and clean. We savoured the delicious home cooking and extensive breakfast menu. What struck me most though was their passion and commitment to making our experience a very special one. Thank you Pam and Dennis

Absolutely stunning B & B with the most friendliest hosts, Pam & Dennis who spoilt us with lashes of hospitality. Thank you for helping to make our honeymoon so special - I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Christchurch - convenient to everything coupled with luxurious accommodation.

Superb Boutique! We had two nights of luxurious bliss! Gorgeous unique house with beautiful garden and great location with a short distance from local bars and restaurants. Great nearby cycle routes and an ideal spot to explore the nearby attractions such as Akaora. Super friendly hosts Pam and Dennis (and of course the adorable Abbie the dog) who really do make you feel like one of the family and cannot do enough for you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. We had a fantastic time during our stay and I would strongly recommend this luxury retreat to anyone seeking a relaxed friendly pampered weekend. It's a must!

Pamela and Denis were delightful hosts at the Lilac Rose. They were both most accommodating and helpful in making us feel at home and making our stay as comfortable as possible. The B&B itself was incredibly beautiful. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas were tastefully decorated and well appointed. The gardens were also well-groomed and attractive. Son, Liam, was also a pleasure to meet. Denis's special, secret "tomato sauce" truly was a flavourful taste treat at breakfast - strongly recommend. Overall, a most enjoyable stay. If ever we return to Christchurch (most likely) we will return to The Lilac Rose.
