What a thrilling oasis in the midst of a bustling city! The bush walk is truly stunning with its majestic trees and trilling birdsong. Easy to move around with sealed paths or boardwalks, very clearly signposted, and plenty of identification of the native trees. An ideal walk for wheelchairs and pushchairs, so accessible for everyone.
The signage is all very new so glad it is working. Many thanks for your comments.
Visited with friends for coffee and a walk through the predator-free original bush - great birdsong and large trees
Love the walk in the bush and around the grounds. But the food and restaurant is expensive all with the tours. I tried to book for my mothers 80th birthday a group catering and it was the most expensive place compared to other quotes for other restaurants and venues.
The tour and tour guide of the house was absolutely spectacular! I would definitely recommend Riccarton House to anyone!
The house has been beautifully maintained and houses a cafe. The grounds are the best part of the visit with a protected area of trees that used to cover the Christchuch area with clearly marked out paths
My friend and I did a tour of the Riccarton House this afternoon. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable and extremely interesting as she took us through the history of the Deans family. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and is set in a lovely peaceful area surrounded by bush. This is an absolute must for all ages, locals and tourists alike. A very in-expensive afternoon and the glass of orange flavoured water was an added bonus.
Many thanks for your comments.
