Unfortuantely we only had one night to spend here ... but we will go back again!
The view from the cottage was amazing - looking across the vines, the 100 year old walnut tree to the snow capped mountains in the distance. The garden around the cottages was beautiful too - English country garden style with flowering rhodadendrons etc. It is such a peaceful setting!
Inside the cottage was fantastic, with tasteful decor and furnishings. You could soak in the view from the sofa or the bed. The bed was enormous and 'super comfy' with beautiful bed linen. And there was a kitchenette in which you could prepare a basic meal or breakfast (with the supplies provided in the pantry and fridge).
The cottages are close to all the wineries of the Marlborough region and Clive's tips on places to visit are worth listening to. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the new Brancott Estate restaurant (definitely worth a visit!!).
We were sad to leave - we had barely begun to explore the area from our own personal cottage ... but we will return and stay for longer next time.More
