Great position in town and very friendly and helpful staff. Quite a nice little swimming pool with deck area for relaxing after a day's sightseeing. Room was spacious and comfortable and bathroom adequate. Breakfast was available to order by dish but it was just as easy to eat in town.

I just returned from a trip to NZ, and Blenheim was one of my stops. Before my arrival, I had difficulty confirming my reservation through the booking agent (Hotel Club). Jacqui at Chateau Marlborough, without me asking, stepped in and contacted the booking agent to resolve it. Lynley and her staff, including Jacquie, Sharyn and Emma, were likewise very helpful before and during my stay. The room was large, well-appointed and very comfortable, and of a better standard than most hotels in the major cities I visited. It included a large kitchen, a sitting area, desk and a wall-mounted flat screen LCD TV. The beautiful town square is just across the street from the hotel, and in-town shops and restaurants are just minutes away.

We stayed four nights and found the hotel comfortable and clean and the rate fair. We would stay again.
A very good restaurant for an evening meal is Bellafico just a short walk away. The restaurant is owned by a German/Swiss.
We dinned at the Hotel d' Urville one evening but would not return.

Just cannot say enough about how delightful this place is in the middle of delightful wine country.
The heavenly beds are THE very best we have slept in (and we travel a lot), so disregard previous review about beds and doors.
The rooms are beautifully laid out and very spacious.
We checked other pricier accommodation but 1. this is much better value and 2. Chateau Marlborough is an easy walk to everything in the pretty town of Blenheim.
We will return and take it from us as seasoned travellers - you won't find better comfort and value.

Excellent reception service....we turned up early and this was not a problem. Complimentary drinks and a chat with the friendly and informed bar manager in the evening in the guests bar. Room very smart but nothing special. Reasonable kitchen facilities. Funny bathroom set up with too many doors and an awkward shower over the bath. Large bed but a bit soft for my liking. Plasma TV and nice paintings and decorations generally. The whole place looks recently done up. Very central location with a large car park...walking distance from all parts of the town.

As part of a film crew recently in Marlborough New Zealand, and under a heavy work load for 10 days, it was great to come home each night to the Chateau Marlbourough Hotel Blenheim. And by home, I certainally mean just that. Not only was the accommodation above standard expectations for a regional destination, never before have I slept in a "heavanly bed" of which I can guarentee a good nights sleep every time. These beds alone make the stay at Chateau Marlborough worth your while, and combined with exemplary staff who go above and beyond to assist in every facet of your stay, my experience couldn't have been more pleasureable. The bar and evening finger food during the week is a great touch, and I am sure in summer the pool would be a great way to end off the day.
Although I stayed in a standard room (complete with the most divine fresh coffee for my plunger) I did site inspect one of the executive suites and can higly recommend these to all, especially the corporate market.
I would like to send my thanks to eveyone working at the Chateau Malborough hotel Blenheim for their professionalism and "nothing is to difficult' attitude, and encouage others to take the time a stay a while when next you are in New Zealand

What a perfect place to venture out to all the picturesque wineries in this delightful part of New Zealand.
The Chateau Marlborough is in the middle of the lovely little town of Blenheim, right in the centre of the Marlborough wine region. We checked out the other smaller accommodations near the wineries and we're so glad we stayed at the Chateau because it's an easy walk every night to wonderful restaurants (instead of being isolated out of town). A great recommendation was Bellafico Restaurant in town with its superb food and the entertaining Dietmar who let us sample different Marlborough wines as well.
The Chateau itself is new and well priced with heavenly beds we're told the owner spent big on so guests have a great night's sleep.
You'll see by our photos the rooms are big and well appointed and the big flat screen TV in front of the bed is great to snuggle up and watch.
And what really completes a good holiday is the friendly staff who spent time telling us what to see and do.
Thanks Lynley for a great time.
