Description: Marlborough has a special place in the hearts of the Giesen brothers. To celebrate this, and the wines they create, in late 2011, 30 years after their arrival in New Zealand, they opened a Cellar Door in the heart of the region's wineries. Situated in the midst of vineyards on Marlborough's golden mile this characterful building captures the Giesen Brothers spirit of hospitality, giving visitors a place to experience a taste of Giesen, and learn about their winemaking. Also as a special treat, visitors can taste some back vintages or trial wines thanks to the Enomatic wine dispensing system. In addition Guests can kick back and relax with a glass of Giesens wine and a platter of regional treats in the charming courtyard.

We have been here with various family members 3 x in the last 10 days or more. The wine is very reasonable and lovely. The platters are gorgeous to share. The service is very good. A hidden gem in Marlborough!

“Awesome place to grab lunch”
Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

This is a fantastic place to get a meal before or after a ferry trip. The platters are brilliant generous size and very reasonably priced. The kids platters are also perfect. Very well priced and food that you want your children to eat. Try the Riesling with your meal. A very nice wine.

“Couldn't have been nicer”
Reviewed December 21, 2013 via mobile

We couldn't recommend the platters enough here. We have had many platters and this takes first place. Lovely setting, attentive friendly staff and of course delicious wine. Recommended to my parents who were also in the area at the timed they enjoyed it as much as us.

“A must visit cellar door”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

We saved this cellar door until last and I'm so glad we did as it saved our wine tour. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The courtyard is very pretty and it's such a lovely place to sit amongst the Jasmine. We had coffee and cake which were delicious and beautifully presented. The wine tasting and the prices were the best of the day and we left with a bottle each. This is one not to miss.
