“Lovely location & interesting wines”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

The wine tasting room, which was a church, in itself was lovely, add to that the young lady who did our wine tasting, and you had a recipe for success. Her knowledge of the terroir, and the wines made from it, made for a most informative tasting.

“the best in Marlborough”
Reviewed March 2, 2012

A little further out but well worth the drive. This boutique winery is in an old converted church. The wines which have a definite French feel are terrific. We bought the Sauvignon Blanc and went back the next day for the Pinot. The owner is French and drops in periodically. If you speak French or make a bold attempt he is delighted.

“Great wine in lovely suroundings”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

The cellar door wine tasting is situated in an picturesque old chapel which is an interesting environment in which to taste their excellent wines. We were assisted by a friendly and knowledgeable young lady who guided us through our wine tasting experience. We will seek out this wine in Auckland.

“A little of France in Marlborough”
Reviewed July 14, 2011

Clos Henri is a winery with a point of difference developed by Henri Bourgeois of Sancerre,France. He comes from a long line of internationally known Wine Makers and in 2000, the family bought 109 hectares of native Marlborough pastures to continue their passion abroad.
They are self sustaining in the Wairau Valley,(approx 15 km from Blenheim) and the Cellar Door is in an old Chapel, moved from Ward in Southern Marlborough.
The family come to Marlborough frequently and are passionate about the Savignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, they are producing and which can be purchased on site.
