We read ads about Wither Hills being an elegant and comfortable place to have lunch and figured we had to try it. It's a beautiful location, and a neat tasting area. But we could have done without the lunch: When we were seated and given menus it took almost 10 minutes for our server to get to our table. She informed us there was only one more particular special dish, and after we ordered she came back to assure us we had indeed gotten the last of that dish. She couldn't remember who ordered which drinks and 30 minutes later we still had not gotten our food! We never saw the original server again, a different woman came to tell us the kitchen had run out of that last dish, what would we like instead? It took another 10 minutes for our food to get to us, and when it did arrive, it was just average.
Overlooking the poor service and coordination with the kitchen, the food really didn't stand out as anything special. The wines are nice enough, and the tasting room is kind of cool though, just stay way from eating here.
