“A special place to mark our special anniversary.”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We spent one night here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We arrived at 1pm and our room was already ready and we were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of bubbly on ice and some nice fudge. Our room was like a well appointed little apartment with a kitchen, lounge, huge bathroom and king sized bedroom. Our room (no 13) was right amongst the vines. Unfortunately it was drizzling with rain so we couldn't take advantage of the rocking chairs and views from the patio but there were views from every window and it was very private. The resort is situated right amongst the wineries. On a fine day they have bikes that you can hire. Just be warned that the wineries are set out over a vast area and the roads are very busy. There are, however quite a few close by that would be fun to ride to. In our package we had a 2 course dinner supplied in their restaurant. The food was delicious and it was lovely to have a drink in front of the fire and walk back to our room. The breakfast was a good selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cold cheese and meat and salmon and toast. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return one day.

Room Tip: Room 13 is the most private and it is right amongst the vines.

Great location, right in the heart of the Marlborough valley. Spacious, well-presented studios together with an excellent choice for a continental breakfast.

If you are heading in this direction hire a car (or bike in the summer months) and take full advantage of the numerous free wine tastings on offer!

Stayed for 1 night. Good location in middle of vineyards. Rooms very nice but would suggest more focused on couples market. We were travelling with our 12 year old son. Good DVD selection for him and riding rental bikes around vineyards great fun.
Restaurant - The menu is strange. Only 3 mains on offer plus up to 8 appetizers and say 3/4 starters. For a restaurant attempting and charging for fine dining I would suggest balance not right. We also asked in the afternoon if the chef good do a simple pasta for our son in the evening and was told restaurant was full and not possible. That must be 8 mins additional work to prepare a fresh pasta! We purchased him a pizza from dominos and he eat in room. Imagine our surprise in evening to find only 5 tables in use. Gave impression chef not very flexible and we were not impressed. The next day i was still being told restuarant was full despite being there for 3.5 hours night before when i mentioned it. Incredible. Food was reasonable but you are paying top dollar. Portions could be smaller and less expensive.
Overall. Accommodation good but your are paying 350NZD for 3 including breakfast. You should expect a high standard at at that price. The restaurant falls into the NZ market of trying to be fine dining but not there yet there in food or service. (except price) It could be better.

We spent a day in the marlborough and the vinters was a perfect place to unwind after a day of wine tasting.
We arrived at 11:30am hoping to check in before our tour however the room wasn't ready, this was a little disappointing. We got back at 5:30 checked in and headed to our room. The suite was large and spacious and very well equipped, the bathroom was gigantic and could have been better as a second bedroom or at least have a bath. Maybe we got the 'easy access' room I don't know.
The lounge was lovely, new and clean, the bed was comfortable and warm. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was nice, the prices were typically high tourist prices, however the servings were large and the quality was good.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking in the area.

This delightful Boutique Hotel is set in the midst of mile after mile of Vineyards. The bungalows are particularly well equipped, large lounge with kitchen attached if you want to do any cooking, a very comfortable bedroom with one of the biggest bathrooms we have seen for some time. Standing at the front door one gets the most attractive panoramic views of the Vineyard and the surrounding hills. A perfect place to relax. Free WiFi is available.

We were in Marlborough / Renwick for a family wedding,, the location was perfect, our suite looked out over a vineyard, away from the road so very quiet, a very high standard of interior, evrery thing we needed, spacious grounds, helpfull staff, 9 / 10 for breakfast & they know how to make a great flat white coffee, Would definitely stay here again

Surrounded by wineries this hotel has a vineyards on every side, within walking (staggering after a few glasses) distance are many famous Marlborough wineries including Cloudy Bay.
Apartment style with large lounge area, kitchenette if you are that way inclined but a lovely restaurant with local wines if you aren't. Large bathroom, nice bedroom and veranda to get the last of the evening sun before heading to dinner.
Parking next to your room - so up market Motel so no distance to carry your bags before settling in to enjoy the views of mountains to front and back.
I could move in to the apartment - lovely!
