We left Kaikora, and after a scenic drive through the vineyards arrived at the Marlborough Vintners Hotel and received a warm and friendly welcome. Our unit was at the edge of the estate, and I walked through the vines ,just looking, not tasting, well just one, something that I have never done in my life. I took some great photos in the evening before we enjoyed a delicious meal.
It was a good chance to relax, before we set off for our next port of call, which is to be Nelson.

Room Tip: Maybe the closer units would be noisy at night if visitors are arriving late, or have been to the re...

Beautiful and vey peaceful hotel, in a superb location ... if ou are into wine of course. Large appartments (we stayed in nr. 15, on the back-end row, but believe all units are equally qiet and comfortable). All amenities present but wifi quality was near non-existant in the appartment (it is ok in the main building). Good quality kitchen, both for breakfast and for dinner. Ecellent base from which to explore nearby wineries.

This was the first of seven places we stayed during our 3 week trip in New Zealand/Australia. Great location and beautiful accommodation. They also have bikes available to rent. The front desk person wasn't too friendly, but she was helpful when we had questions. The breakfast isn't worth the money. But the location is perfect as it is placed right in the middle of the Marlborough vineyards where you can easily bike from place to place.

Room Tip: Try to get a room closest to the vineyard, so you don't have to look past other rooms while look...

beautiful studio like room, with a view on the vineyards. beds are very comfortable. rooms are large, with a living room and the kitchen is well equipped. we arrived at the last minute and the hotel was very accommodating.

Room Tip: try the rooms closed to the vineyards at the back for more seclusion.

While relatively expensive for the area, this place was absolutely beautiful and all in all worth it. We rented bikes from there and hit series of beautiful wineries so we did not have to get in car and could savor tastings! Tht night we te at their restaurant for great dinner. The rooms were beautiful. Try to get unit toward back of property so you can look out directly at vineyard. Absolutely beautiful!

My wife and I stayed here roughly in the middle of our 3 week honeymoon, and I would put it tied for first among the many high-end accommodations we enjoyed. We had Room 13 at the very end facing the vineyards, which gave us seclusion and great views. The kitchen area and living space are large and well-equipped, and with laundry, DVDs, and wifi you could stay here for some time - we made full use of these features to recharge on our journey. I would highly recommend renting bikes from the front desk to tour the surrounding wineries; the hotel is very well located for this. The only cons I would put were that I didn't find the service as warm/involved as some others (but that is fine with me!) and the restaurant was only so-so, but convenient.

Room Tip: Room 13 is probably the most secluded of the rooms, as others have noted. I would definitely choose...

This was our first stop in New Zealand on our two week long honeymoon, and we could not have been happier with our choice. We stayed in one of the villas facing the vineyards (which certainly isn't hard considering the entire place is surrounded by vineyards). It was secluded and off alone. It made us feel like we were the only ones there. The bathroom was huge and had a great patio and sitting room. It was set in the middle of the vineyards just outside of Blenheim. It was the perfect location for those wishing to wine taste. We loved it!
